On November 14, 2025, CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) announced the Medicare rates for 2026 as follows:
The Part B monthly premium base rate in 2026 will be $202.90 (up $17.90 from $185.00 in 2025). The base rate applies if your modified adjusted gross income (MAGI) as reported on your IRS tax return from 2 years ago was $109,000 or less if you filed your taxes individually or $218,000 or less if you filed your taxes jointly. If your MAGI was higher, your Part B premium will be higher. For the complete chart showing Part B premiums for higher income individuals click here.
The Part B annual deductible will be $283 in 2026, up $26 from $257 in 2025.
The annual deductible for high-deductible Medicare supplement (MediGap) Plans F and G for 2026 is $2,950 (up from $2,870 in 2025).
The cost of the Part B monthly premium base rate affects virtually everyone on Medicare. You must pay your Part B monthly premium to remain on a Medicare Advantage plan and on original Medicare with a supplement. The Part B annual deductible affects only those on original Medicare with Medicare supplement (MediGap) plans G and N. If you're on a Medicare Advantage plan, the plan absorbs the Part B annual deductible. The annual deductible for high-deductible Medicare supplement Plans F and G affects only those who are on those high-deductible plans.
