Income Related SEP for Healthcare.gov Available All Year

healthcare.gov sep

The annual enrollment period for Healthcare.gov lasts only from November 1st to January 15th. After that, the only way new enrollments are permitted is through a Special Enrollment Period (SEP). Usually SEPs are related to certain life changes, for example, moving to a new area, losing health coverage, getting married and such. The current adminstration added a year round SEP for low income individuals called the 150% FPL (federal poverty level) SEP and this SEP has been available on Healthcare.gov since March, 2022. If your income is at or below 150% of the FPL you can apply for coverage any time during the year. For 2023, for a single person, your income would have to be no more than $20,385. For a household of five, your income would have to be no more than $48,705. At the same time, your income would have to be at least enough to qualify for APTC (advance premium tax credits).

If you are under 65 years of age, do not have access to employer group health care, and meet the 150% FPL eligibility requirement, DO NOT MISS this opportunity to get ACA-compliant health insurance for you and your family. Contact me now to find out how I can assist you to find afforable, comprehensive heath insurance that is fully ACA compliant with no preexisting conditions exclusions. With the increased subsidies provided by the current administration, individual health insurance is more affordable than ever!
